Based in what used to be East Germany, the Sachsenring was completed in 1996 and lengthened in 2001 the circuit is very tight and slow by comparison to many other tracks on the MotoGP calendar although it still produces some great racing.

Your hotel for this event is situated in the town of Zwickau about 16km from the circuit. This is the closest town to the circuit and although quiet is still a great base for your MotoGP weekend.  Coach transfers to the track will be provided on both Saturday and Sunday.

If you have some spare time we would recommend a trip to visit Colditz, which is approximately 40 miles to the North East of the town.

Where is the circuit located?

The circuit is based next to the small town of Oberlungwitz 10km West of Chemnitz in the former East Germany. It is located 100km South West of Dresden and 45km South of Leipzig
