Nowhere is there such a large gathering of classic cars and enthusiasts than at the biennial Le Mans Classic. It is not only a great sporting event but a real celebration of the history of the motor car and it is us, the spectators, who help to create the very special atmosphere. We are invited to take part by forming, together with car clubs from all over Europe, a huge infield display, a museum, of classic machinery. When all are assembled over 6000 cars are on view to the admiring public.

You can enjoy this event with or without a classic car. A series of races run over twenty four hours takes place on the full Le Mans circuit. Around the Village and the Bugatti circuit you can visit the auction or browse amongst the automobilia, along the shopping mall and in the many car club displays. Food and drink is plentiful and under the warm July sky you can really enjoy your Classic weekend.

On track events start on Friday at 1500h with daytime practice for all grids, followed by night practice, which goes on until the early hours. Saturday morning is given over to those doing their track laps and demonstrations before the serious business begins. Mid-afternoon the first grid of cars, racers from 1923 to 1939, line up ears-of-corn style ready for the traditional start at 1600h. Each of the six grids will race three times during the 24 hours and a driver change during each stint is obligatory.

Our tours are based on Dover to Calais crossings, departing on Thursday 10 or Friday 11 July and returning on Monday 14 July. We can, if you prefer, reserve Eurotunnel crossings from Folkestone or the longer cross channel routes with Brittany Ferries. Alternative crossings and on board accommodation will incur a supplement and you will be advised of the full price before you confirm your booking with us. The longer crossings, particularly overnight sailings, are extremely popular and we recommend you call us early to reserve your space.

Our four night prices are based on arrival in your hotel on Thursday 10 July and three nights on arrival on Friday 11 July. If you would like to arrive earlier or stay longer we can arrange this for you – you just need to ask.

Owners of cars built pre-1966 and in excellent condition, can park on our specially reserved infield parking on the Bugatti circuit. Exceptions will be made for post-1966 built cars of particular makes and models – please ask for details. These regulations are set by the event organisers. Space is not unlimited however and we will allocate spaces on the infield as tour reservations are received.

Alternatively, parking will be on one of the public car parks on the outside of the circuit.

If your car is eligible for infield parking you can also enjoy two track laps on Saturday morning at an extra cost of £95 per car. Please reserve your track laps at the time of booking.

Le Mans Classic - Our Hotels...

Villages, Le Mans * Located just north of the ringroad the Villages is a simple, modern hotel. Bedrooms are functional but comfortable and each room has a double bed and above it a raised single bed. Shower, wc and TV are also standard. A large car park is secured by electric gates. There are restaurants nearby and a large shopping complex within a few minutes of the hotel. It is just 20 minutes to the circuit around the ringroad.
Campanile, La Ferte Bernard * * The hotel is very conveniently located just off the road to and 30 miles north-east of Le Mans. There is ample parking, bar service, a restaurant with terrace and all bedrooms have shower, wc, TV and telephone. A leisure centre with boating lake and man-made beach is just a few minutes walk from the hotel and the centre of town, built on canals, is picturesque. There’s an extensive market in town on Monday mornings.
Campanile, Le Mans * * Located north of the town centre with easy access by road to the track. The hotel has ample free parking, a restaurant and all bedrooms have shower, wc, TV and telephone.
Chantecler, Le Mans * * * A small hotel in the centre of town just 15 minutes walk from the main shopping area, market place and old town. The hotel has limited private parking, bar, lounge and restaurant and all bedrooms have private bathroom, TV and telephone.
Campanile, Arnage * * Another good Campanile hotel and just five minutes drive south of the circuit. The restaurant has a terrace and offers good value traditional French cuisine and bar service. There’s ample parking and is located on a leisure site with a lake and man-made beach. Bedrooms have bathroom, TV and telephone.
Mercure, Le Mans * * With easy access from the south ringroad the hotel is in a quiet location just 5 minutes drive from the centre of town and only 5kms from the circuit. The hotel has a bar, a restaurant with Summer terrace and private parking. The hotel offers room service and bedrooms are modern and comfortable.
Novotel, Le Mans * * * Located east of the centre and just 7 km from the track. The hotel has private parking with video surveillance, an outdoor swimming pool, café, restaurant and cocktail bar. Bedrooms are comfortable with bathroom, TV, minibar and telephone and are air-conditioned.
Mercure Centre, Le Mans * * * In the centre of Le Mans just minutes on foot to the main shopping area and the old town. The hotel has a car park and a comfortable bar and there are restaurants nearby. The façade is elegant and the refurbised interior is stylish and modern. Bedrrooms are air-conditioned.

L’Aitre Chalon Gite accommodation just 25 minutes north of Le Mans. Recently refurbished throughout by its English owners all bedrooms and bathrooms are modern and bright. The lounge, available for guest use, is cosy and has satellite TV and the garden is a very pleasant place to sit and relax with a beer or glass of wine – always available! Breakfast is an informal affair and the owner, a trained chef, is happy to prepare meals for you in the evenings. The owners are race fans too so you’ll have plenty to talk about! There is ample parking.
Parigne l’Eveque A private house approximately 12kms east of the circuit in a village surrounded by woodland. The typical bourgeois house has a large, shady garden and is very comfortably furnished. You will receive a warm welcome here.
Spay A modern, private house in Spay, just off the N23 south of Le Mans. There is ample parking, a large garden with swimming pool and the bedrooms are attractively furnished. The owner is extremely accommodating.
La Gripouce Set well off the road in private woodland close to Challes, east of the circuit. It is a typical country domaine, with plenty of grounds and tennis court, built of stone and with big fireplaces. It is furnished to a high standard and the reception rooms are full of antiques. The family live on the premises and, in addition to breakfast, are happy to arrange evening meals for you if you wish.
Les Essarts A private estate and residence just 15 miles north west of the circuit. Guest accommodation is in a converted outbuilding where there is plenty of parking. On the ground floor is a large lounge and dining area. Bedrooms are on the first floor and are modern and bright. The owners live in the adjacent house and are happy to help you with local information and restaurant reservations.
La Girouardiere A lovely, modern property south of the circuit near La Fleche. The garden and parking area is enclosed and very private. Guest accommodation is in the main house and the adjacent annexe. The annexe has a large dining area where breakfast is served and the owner is vey happy to offer evening meals too. Patio doors open onto a sun terrace with garden furniture overlooking a very inviting swimming pool.
La Templerie A magnificent property close to La Fleche, south of the circuit. Lovingly restored to a very high standard the chateau has spacious public rooms and a splendid garden with swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and tennis court. Bedrooms are furnished to the same standard.
Corbuon A small but beautiful 18th century chateau with well tended gardens and plenty of parking space approximately 30 kms south east of the circuit close to Villaines-sous-Luce. The owner speaks perfect English. On the ground floor there is a large farmhouse kitchen, music room with grand piano, dining room with TV and billiard room. From the terrace you can access the swimming pool. Bedrooms are very comfortable.
La Drouardiere A delightful property approximately 12kms south of the circuit in the village of Parigne le Polin. It is in a very peaceful location surrounded by woodland and has a manicured garden with swimming pool. Guest accommodation comprises an entrance hall, a small lounge with huge fireplace, dining room and individually furnished bedrooms.
Chateau de Cheronne North-east of the circuit close to Tuffe it was built in the 16th century and restored in the 19th. A long driveway brings you to the chateau, situated in acres of private parkland with lake and woodland. The interior is fully modernised but in period style with appropriate furnishings.
