 Goodwood Revival...19 - 22 September 2008 - Historic Car Races main menu - Motorsport main menu - 0845 003 2213 At what is a truly unique event on the motor sport calendar prepare to step back in time, as spectators dress up to the nines in fifties-style clothes to marvel at the impressive cars and motorcycles which competed during their heyday at Goodwood. To recreate such an authentic atmosphere the nostalgic Revival goes to extraordinary lengths with the circuit virtually unchanged, the competitors in period costume and not a modern vehicle in sight. Even the fish and chips are wrapped in 1950’s newspaper! Southsea is just twenty five miles from Goodwood and is our base for the weekend. Enjoy a leisurely drink at a waterfront café or take the panoramic lift to the top of Portsmouth’s latest attraction, the Spinnaker Tower, for spectacular views across the harbour.3 nights in PortsmouthFriday 19 September Make your way to Southsea and check-in at the hotel during the afternoon. Accommodation is reserved for you for three nights on bed and breakfast basis. The remainder of the day and evening are free for you to relax, maybe do some sightseeing, shopping and enjoy a meal in one of the local restaurants. Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 September Each day our coach will leave in the morning for Goodwood and return you to the hotel at the end of the day’s events. General admission and a grandstand seat for the weekend.
