Introduction...
It is traditional for the stunning city of Melbourne to host a Grand Prix at the
end of the Australian Summer when the weather is ideal. Sport is what Melbourne
does best and it is always a pleasure to be there for the Australian Grand Prix.
The F1 race weekend is a four day festival, the whole city is involved and the
organisation is superb. Our three and four night arrangements give you ample
time to enjoy the 2010 Australian Grand Prix race as well as the vast selection
of entertainments, restaurants and nightlife on offer.
If you are travelling this far then it would be a pity not to enjoy more of the
spectacular scenery and sights of Australia as well as the Grand Prix. No visit
to Australia is complete without spending a few nights in Sydney. Sydney Harbour
really is breathtakingly beautiful and the best way to see it is from the water
on one the many ferry boats which criss-cross the harbour regularly. Fly north
to Cairns, starting point for exploring the Great Barrier Reef and the
rainforest or drive south from Melbourne along the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide.
The two self-drive holiday extensions to the Australian Grand Prix 2010 tour
will take you to just some of Australia's beautiful landscapes and delightful
towns and villages. The dates suggested are flexible - if you would like extra
nights in Melbourne, a few days in Sydney before or after the Australian Grand
Prix tour, then just let us know. We will be happy to arrange your Grand prix
holiday itinerary and flights to and from the UK for you.
Tailor Made Holidays...
Australia is a magical land of endless possibilities. Whether
you want to visit the cities, the rainforest, the Great Barrier Reef or Ayers
Rock and the Outback we can arrange it for you reserving your flights, hotels
and excursions.
Thursday 25 or Friday 26 March
On arrival in Melbourne, make your way to the four stay Rendezvous Hotel where
accommodation is reserved for you on bed and breakfast basis.
The weekend is then free to enjoy as you and to make your way to and from the
circuit using the free tram service from the city centre to the track. Our hotel
is well located, overlooking the Yarra River and just a few minutes walk to the
tram stop. The downtown district with the shops and Chinatown is close by and
opposite, on the lively south bank you will find an amazing selection of bars
and restaurants and the Casino.
Monday 29 March
Check out at your leisure to return to the airport or to continue your holiday
in Australia.

Circuit map... (click to enlarge)
A weekend at the Albert Park Circuit is an
amazing experience. Access is easy, transport from the city centre is very
frequent and well organised, there are plenty of track entry points and, once
inside, there's no shortage of food and drink, souvenir stands, exhibitions and
green areas to sit. You can walk almost all the way around the track and there
are several specially built mounds for even better viewing. The grandstands are
not covered but all seats are numbered and have giant screens. Most grandstand
tickets are valid for four days although there is no F1 action on Thursday. A
general admission ticket is good value and there are plenty of viewing areas but
it does not give admission to the shopping and restaurant village at the back of
the Fangio grandstand.
