Introduction...
Once again Abu Dhabi is set to host the final
Formula One race of the season. This brand new hi-tech Yas Island circuit
proved a hit with Grand Prix spectators and F1 drivers alike and we’re already
looking forward to our next visit in November for the 2010 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix!
The island city of Abu Dhabi, capital of the
United Arab Emirates, owes its existence to the chance discovery of fresh water
on the island around 250 years ago. The abundance of this valuable commodity
ensured Abu Dhabi's growth and it is now a thriving modern, commercial city.
Nevertheless, much emphasis is placed on the origins and culture of old Arabia
and the Bedouin traditions, which are carefully preserved alongside the new
leisure facilities. This means the best of both worlds for Abu Dhabi F1 visitors
– golf courses, spas and modern shopping malls, bazaars, souks and falconry. All
cuisines are on offer in the many restaurants and the temperature averages a
comfortable 24 degrees. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is a winner!
Our 2010 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix tours are based on
direct flights from either Manchester or London Heathrow but flights from
alternative regional airports are also available if you prefer. We can also
arrange extended stays in Abu Dhabi or a few days in one of nearby Dubai’s
excellent resort hotels.

Thursday 11 November
Fly from London Heathrow at 0930h by British Airways, arriving in Abu Dhabi at
2020h. Here you will be met and taken to your hotel where accommodation is
reserved for you for four nights on bed and buffet breakfast basis. Our
representative will be on hand throughout the weekend to help and advise you.
Friday 12 & Saturday 13
November
These days are at leisure to relax or to explore Abu Dhabi. On Saturday you can
take our coach transfer to the track for practice and qualifying sessions.
Sunday 14 November
Our coach will depart mid-morning for the circuit to watch the Grand Prix and
supporting events.
Monday 15 November
Most of the day is free to enjoy as you wish before your late evening departure
to the airport for your return flight to London.
Tuesday 16 November
Your flight is scheduled to depart at 0235h and arrive at London Heathrow
Airport at 0625h.

 Grandstand

Yas Island Circuit is
approximately 35 minute’s drive from the hotel. The race takes place
over 56 laps on a 5.6 kilometre track incorporating high speed
straights, tight turns and sections through the streets and the marina.
Entertainment for spectators is second to none with bands, dancers and a
variety of acts held on stages located around the track. There are
plenty of food outlets serving both local and western dishes.
Main Grandstand
Situated on the Main Straight, the Main Grandstand looks across to the
Pit Building where you can witness the action in the garages, pit stops
and the start/finish of the race.
North Grandstand
This U-shaped stand will create an arena feel around the tightest
hairpin on the circuit. The cars approach through a chicane offering an
overtaking opportunity. Once through the hairpin enthusiasts here can
witness one of the cars accelerating along the long straight up to
speeds in excess of 300km per hour.
South Grandstand
Fans will see the cars power down from into a series of complicated
turns around the Marina. This action will take place against the
backdrop of the Yas Marina Hotel and the Marina.
Support Pit Building Grandstand
Fans here will enjoy similar views of the hotel and marina with great
viewing and the chance to watch the other racing categories working out
of the team garages below
West Grandstand
Fans in this grandstand will have a spectacular view as the cars speed
toward them down the circuit’s longest straight at more than 300km/h.
This grandstand also has a unique run off area that disappears under the
grandstand.

These prices are based on 2009 tickets and should be
used as a guide only. 2010 prices will be
confirmed to you when booking, or as soon as they are
available.
All stands are covered with numbered seating and a TV
screen opposite. A complimentary parking pass is
provided for every 3 tickets. Main Grandstand is only
sold on a 3-day basis. |

to One – The Village
A contemporary, boutique hotel located in the heart of the shopping and
business district of Abu Dhabi. Facilities include a café and a choice
of six dining options. The hotel also has a rooftop pool. All bedrooms
are comfortable and contemporary and have private bathroom with a
walk-in shower or bath, air-conditioning, mini-bar and TV.
Junior Suites are open-plan with lounge and dining area and a private
terrace. Deluxe Suites are more spacious but do not have a terrace and
Executive Suites have a separate bedroom and lounge/dining room.
